| A WORD FROM THE ARTIST I am inspired by the desire to make art that communicates with others. I feel tremendous gratitude for being able to create works of art that connects at the deepest level - reflecting and honoring another individual's life. For me as the artist, and for those who purchase my urns for loved ones, a Personal Temple is an opportunity to celebrate life and those we love with a beautiful personal memorial.
I write poetry as part of the design process for each piece because it allows me to explore many layers of a theme or idea. I am then able to translate my entire experience - and the textures and colors of thought and emotion - into the final creation. In the shop, with the fire and molten glass, I connect completely with my work, blowing life into each design.
No two people are the same. We are the sum of different experiences that have shaped and colored our lives. Such is also the case with my temples. I personally design and hand blow each piece, ensuring that no two will ever be exactly the same. I believe it is only fitting that our final resting place be as unique as the life we have lived.
Through my art I hope to impart a measure of peace and contentment and inspire celebration of love and life well lived. This is why I first started making Personal Temples, and why I plan to continue to share them for years to come.
